Belle Harker (postscriptum) | 7 comments Calling all authors! ... who are looking for someone to give an honest review of their books/short stories/etc.

Hi! Belle here. Ready and reporting for reviewer duty. I normally stick to horror, mystery/thriller, fantasy, and science-fiction with a dabbling in YA - but am open minded and willing to try a bit of everything.

Just a few things to know about me:

i. I work full-time Monday through Friday, so reviews / replies aren't expedited by any means. It all depends on free time, length of the work, and attention span. However, I'll be as open and as transparent as possible, letting you know when I start reading and when I finish - so you have a bit of an idea as to when the review will be written/posted.

ii. I have no triggers that I am aware of currently - I only ask that you remain professional and understand that I, too, am a human being; and if something doesn't settle well with me, that you respect my boundary. I, of course, will do the same for you!

iii. Please read my reviews! I'm honest, I hold nothing back - but I am also respectful of authors I read and will never make it personal;. I also would hope that, when I post something about your work(s), that you would take the time to read it - just as I took the time to write it. This also goes for other reviewers and authors, as well! Feel free to vote and take a gander at my profile accordingly. I don't bite. :)

In order for me to be able to review your work(s) or if you would like to see me review a work you enjoy otherwise, please comment with:

- Author name // title of the work(s) // summary, please!

- Let me know how to get your work: Is it a linked e-book I can download for free? Can I have a copy? Do I need to pay for it?

- What kind of review are you looking for?: Short and simple? Long, detailed?

Please view my little portfolio of reviews below, to see if I meet your standards:

- - review for Kill Creek by Scott Thomas: h e r e !

- - review for Lovely Bad Things by Trisha Wolfe: h e r e !

- - review for The Method by James Patterson: h e r e !

- - review for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes by Suzanne Collins: h e r e !

Beyond that, thank you for your time and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Jordan Gray | 3 comments Hello!

I published my first book almost a year ago, and have only received two reviews. I intend to publish another book soon (end Feb).

I'd really appreciate a review from you!

Author: Jordan Gray
Title: Secret of the Whispering Woods
Summary:
In the enchanted realm of Lluneia, nestled amidst sprawling forests and shimmering rivers, Prince Elidian and his beloved Anyah prepare for their impending union amidst the joyous anticipation of their kingdom. Lluneia, a land where magic thrives and mythical creatures roam, seems untouched by the shadows that lurk beyond its borders.

However, the tranquility shatters when Anyah mysteriously disappears from the castle grounds. Elidian, heartbroken and desperate, leads a relentless search into the Whispering Woods, a mystical and foreboding forest where sunlight struggles to penetrate dense foliage. Despite meticulous efforts and the unwavering support of his people, Anyah remains elusive, leaving behind a void that darkens the once-vibrant halls of the castle.

Amidst the uncertainty, a stranger arrives at the castle gates. Elara, a young woman of radiant cheerfulness and elusive origins, claims to possess knowledge of Anyah's whereabouts. Her presence, while initially welcomed for its hopeful promise, soon stirs unease among the castle inhabitants, particularly Elidian, who senses a discordance between her bright demeanour and the shadowy secrets she keeps.

Will Elidian and Anyah be reunited?
What is the dark secret Elara hides?

Throughout the story themes of love, loyalty, and resilience resonate deeply. The bonds between characters—be they human, fairy, or creature—are tested and tempered, reaffirming the strength found in unity.

How to get your work: I will gladly send you an EPUB file.

What kind of review are you looking for? Straight, brutal and honest is all I ask.

V.J. Madsen | 7 comments Hi Belle. My fantasy western book Reaper's Dice is dying for a review.

The story follows a spellcasting wood elf named Arno on his eons-long journey to save his dying race. At his side is Zaleria, a young goblin woman he adopted as his ward and apprentice. A chance to further his research is presented when an eccentric undead crimelord offers them a perilous bounty hunting mission to save a hostage from the most dangerous gang in the South. To pull the heist, they have the help of a pair of loose-cannon bank robbers (Bonnie and Clyde style). The group is forced to navigate treacherous obstacles and contend with fantastical beasts; all while being pursued by a psychopathic gang leader whose megalomaniacal ambitions threaten to plunge the small country of Ceabrin into absolute chaos.

C.I. DeMann | 22 comments Hi Belle. Are you still doing reviews? If so, you're awesome. Text Chain's my third novel, it's a romantic comedy set in college, and I hope you'd like to review it. It came out just a few days ago, so it's only got a few reviews so far, but they're all good. Text Chain Here's what one person had to say on Amazon.
"C.I. Demann's characters leap off the page. They are so real that, like Sarah, I want to reach through the screen and give them all a big hug. They are my new best friends. Friends who are 1,000 times wittier than I am, sure. But that's what you get from an author as funny as this one. Demann reminds me of Nick Hornby in all the best ways. His characters are so realistic it's frankly unbelievable, and I am outraged that he is so much better at writing characters than I am. If you want to feel all the feels and laugh yourself silly, read this book now."
If you're interested, let me know. I can send you an electronic copy, at no charge of course. Just let me know.

Hi, Belle.

Would you be interested in reviewing my new book? It’s set in Australia and is a prequel to my debut novel GOLD! — The Kincaid Saga, Book One.

Both books, although obviously linked, are written as standalone stories.
(Feargus is on preorder at the moment and due for release on April 11. I’d still love a review even if you can’t manage it by then; better late than never, as they say.)

Here’s a brief blurb:
Feargus Kincaid is a down-to-earth working-class Aussie bloke. He wouldn’t hurt a fly—or would he?
When his girlfriend is attacked by three thugs, he and his best mate mete out their own form of rough justice, setting in train a series of events that will propel them into the shady world of gangsters, protection racketeers, and The Mafia. In the 1940s and 50s, life in Australia was simple. Feargus is about to see how complicated it can get.

After a confrontation that leaves him with severe injuries, and despite his best intentions, Feargus finds himself drawn into a life of crime and drug addiction from which escape seems impossible. With the help of his friend and partner in crime, Paddy, he struggles to attain redemption for himself and a secure future for his sons.

Sometimes, however, Fate has other ideas.

It's not a sweet romance, nor is it a happy family tale. Feargus is basically a good guy who makes some bad choices and finds it hard mending his ways.
As usual, all characters in this story are fictional, but many are composites of everyday Aussies I’ve come across over several decades of living in this great and wonderous land we call Oz.

I can send it as a PDF or an EBOOK. Please email me and let me know your preferences.
Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks so much for being open to reviewing indie books — that means a lot!

Here’s the info for my novel:

Author:Ermina Mujcic

Title: Crown’s Echo: Five Kingdoms (it's trilogy, this is part 1, part 2 is coming out in May and part 3 in October)

Summary:
In a divided world of elven kingdoms, Princess Signy is forced into a role she never asked for. When she discovers an ancient prophecy and crosses paths with the dark elven king Aros, everything she thought she knew begins to unravel. Political intrigue, forbidden alliances, and an awakening evil threaten to consume the realm unless the echoes of the past can guide the future.
You can also see the blurb at: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Where to get it:
The book is free to read via Kindle Unlimited on Amazon.
But if you prefer a direct file, I can also send a PDF copy — just let me know!

Type of review:
Anything you’re comfortable with! A short, honest impression is more than enough — but I welcome detailed reviews too if you’re up for it. 😊 And I would be very grateful if it was review on Amazon.

Let me know what works best for you, and thank you again for supporting indie authors! 🌿

Hey Belle!

Imagine having a home apothecary stocked with simple, natural remedies that actually work—no potions, no fluff, just time-tested herbal wisdom blended with modern know-how. That’s exactly what I explore in Building a Natural Home Apothecary, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!

If you’re someone who:
🍵 Loves experimenting with herbal teas and tinctures
📚 Enjoys books on holistic wellness and natural living
💡 Is curious about how traditional remedies fit into modern life

…then this book might be right up your alley! I’m looking for honest reviewers to share their thoughts on Goodreads. In return, you’ll get a free copy and (hopefully!) some fun, insightful discussions on the magic of herbal healing.

🌱 Want in? Drop a comment below or message me—I’d love to connect!

Looking forward to geeking out over nature’s best-kept secrets with you all. 💚✨

Hi, Belle. Thank you for your kind offer. I write reviews myself, so I appreciate the effort and time that goes into creating them.

I'd love a review of the second Kincaid Saga book and follow-up to GOLD! Feargus is a prequel, so you can still enjoy this tale even if you haven't read the first in the series.

A violent confrontation resulting in severe injuries leaves him reliant on painkillers. Despite his best intentions, Feargus finds himself drawn into a life of crime and drug addiction from which escape seems impossible. With the help of his friend and partner in crime, Paddy, he struggles to attain redemption for himself and a secure future for his sons, Malcolm and Jamie.

Sometimes, however, Fate has other ideas.

Feargus is written for lovers of gritty fiction and 20th-century drama. Any and all reviews, long or short, will be most welcome. Even a simple star rating if you prefer.

Garima Bais | 8 comments Hi

I have published my book "The Woman Who WASN'T" on Kindle. Would you be interested in reviewing it on your blog. Can provide pdf for you to review the book. Here is the synopsis.

She thought she knew who she was. Until someone else took her place.
When Evelyn Harper finds a note reading “Find me before they do,” her world begins to unravel. A woman who looks exactly like her is leaving clues—watching, mimicking, and slipping in and out of reality. But this isn’t just a lookalike. It’s something else. Something wrong.
As Evelyn digs deeper, she uncovers a chilling conspiracy and realizes the threat isn’t just to her life—it’s to her identity.
Because the real question isn’t who is pretending to be her.
It’s what.
The Woman Who Wasn’t is a haunting psychological thriller that explores identity, memory, and the dark things hiding in plain sight.

Jasna Kaluđerović | 16 comments Hi Belle,

My name is Jasna Kaludjerovic, and I’m the author of Letters to an Embryo — a memoir covering the years 2015 to 2018, when I faced a difficult dilemma: what to do with my frozen embryo. After my divorce, the embryo from the last IVF attempt was left frozen. I still hoped to become a mother one day, and with my 40th birthday approaching, the pressure grew. But the idea of having a child with my ex felt unbearable at the time. So, I started writing — and kept writing — until I found clarity.

I know this may not be your usual genre, but you mentioned being open to all kinds of books, so I thought I’d reach out.

I’m in real need of Amazon reviews — short or long, whatever feels right to you, as long as it’s honest. Only, of course, if you finish the book and feel like sharing your thoughts. :)

My main goal is to get this story into the hands of women who need it. I’d be happy to send a physical copy if you prefer print, or an EPUB or PDF if you read on Kindle or another device.

Best regards,
Jasna

J.D. Dresner (jddresner) | 3 comments || J.D. Dresner // A Goblin's Mind // Summary:

Where Magic Fails, Therapy Prevails

Doctor Harlow is methodical. Composed. A trusted mind in a kingdom full of unstable ones. On a remote island far from the crown, Harlow treats the bizarre, the enchanted, and the profoundly unwell—with tea, therapy, and an ironclad refusal to get emotionally involved.

But when a quiet goblin arrives—haunted by invisible friends and stories that don’t quite add up—something begins to crack.

At first, the sessions seem harmless. Eccentric, even amusing. Then people begin to vanish. Details shift. Memories blur. And the threads that hold reality together begin to fray like cheap spell work.

As the island slips further out of sync, Harlow must confront a terrifying possibility: the patients aren’t the ones unravelling.

For readers drawn to fractured fairy tales, crumbling uncertainty and psychological spirals wrapped in fantasy, A Goblin’s Mind is an unhinged descent into magical therapy, delusion, and the fine art of losing one’s grip.
