Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn (I love the way she writes)
Exit West by Mohsin Hamid
Never Let Me Go or The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
As the Crow Flies by Craig Johnson
Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flag
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
In the Company of Cheerful Ladies or The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency by Alexandra McCall Smith
A Wind in the Door by Madeleine L'Engle
The Martian Chronicles or Dandelionwine by Ray Bradbury
The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver
The Farthest Shore by Ursula K Le Guin
The Old Man Who Read Love Stories by Luis Sepulveda
Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie
The Maltese Falcon by Hammett
I've also got some random pulp sci-fi I picked up from work. Most are around around the 200 page range, except for Fried Green Tomatoes, which is over 300. If none of these are appealing I can list more that I have; and you guys please list any books you're interested in and we can narrow something down together!

Thank you for the suggestions! And no, I haven’t read Exit West yet. After taking some time to look into the descriptions for these, I find these three—along with Exit West—really intriguing:
Sharp Objects
Never Let Me Go
Snow Flower and the Secret Fan
As for my suggestions:
That's Not My Name by Megan Lally
Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose
I don’t have many to add since most of my TBR consists of 400+ page fantasy romance series, which probably wouldn’t work well for a light read.
I’d love to hear what everyone thinks! :)

I am totally OK with reading Sharp Objects. If no one else has any suggestions by Friday then we can go ahead and choose this for our first group read.
