MARCH '25 SERIAL READER CHALLENGE

Aquamarine and bloodstone, March’s two birthstones, are very different when it comes to appearance, but they share a similar reputation for protecting one’s well-being. The aquamarine birthstone evokes the colors of the sea. From deep green-blue to light, slightly greenish blue hues, aquamarine symbolizes purity of spirit and soul. The bloodstone birthstone is typically a dark-green cabochon that contains red spots of iron oxide, the “blood” that brings health and strength to the wearer.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MARCH CHALLENGE:

I'm very late this month (for me) reading my first book, When the Cookie Crumbles. Just finished last night and I really enjoyed it. The mystery was good and there were lots of good sounding cookies.

I finished my books, Wish You Were Here & Rest in Pieces. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them. Loved the interaction ms between Tucker, Mrs. Murphy & Pewter. I’ll be reading more!

Finished my first one last night. I wasn't sure what to expect from the new-to-me author but was happy with this historical mystery.

Dying in the Wool

Finished my second: A Medal for Murder. The female P. I. was likeable and good at her job, as was her employee/assistant. Good storyline that kept me engaged. However, I didn't like the players; i.e., those involved with the mysteries. I also wasn't prepared for some grim interludes, particularly flashbacks from the Boer war. A couple twists, interesting ending.

Now I'm ready for April!

I listened to The Vanishing Type and Paper Cuts. They were both great additions to the series. There was a good mystery and the characters continue to develop.

Finished my second, One Dead Cookie for the month. This is a fun series.

I finished two picks this month and enjoyed moving along in this series. Thanks, Lisa, for the nudge.
