My local library had a fun concept for Valentine's day. There was a display of wrapped up mystery books for a "Blind date with a book".

Here are the key words for the book I selected:

1. Small Town
2. Southern USA
3. Police Chief M.C.

So what book do you think it is? Let me know your guesses below.
I'll post the answer when I unwrap it in a couple of days...

That's tough, although it has to be a crime novel...

Gabriele (tapati1) | 13 comments Maybe Grant county series by Karin Slaughter? Id guess it's the first book Blindsighted.
I'm currently on book #3 and it matches the description perfectly!

Given the clues I was expecting Jaws (which I've read) but have been pleasantly surprised that its actually: Things We Hide from the Light by Lucy Score. Will get onto reading it in the next few days.

Things We Hide from the Light (Knockemout, #2) by Lucy Score

Pink cover suggests NOT a crime novel ;)

Nope, its definitely a romance with a bit of crime thrown in.

I'm a bit annoyed that the US state is Virginia which I've already got on my USA challenge!

Gabriele (tapati1) | 13 comments Haha wasn’t expecting this! Have you read the first book? This one is #2 in the series

Hi Gabriele, Nope I haven't read the first one but there's enough backstory filtered in for me to pick up the characters and the shooting! I get the feeling it was his brother who was the main character in the first one so we've sidestepped.
I'm on about page 60 and its ticking along. Its a while since I read a romance but as its February, why not?!
