Amy | 12911 comments You know what? I am going to count this as science as this book was incredibly focused on Medicine and Medicine/Scientific Advancement as it was developing during that time with Claire's ingenuity and teaching and ether and new instruments. Not to mention some major life saving surgeries including an adenectomy and tonsilectomy with a young dwarf.

This was both totally wonderful and eminently frustrating!

Anytime one gets to be with the Frasiers and the Mackenzies, it is a wonderful wonderful ride! But Thank God the next one is already written and published because this one ended in the middle! If I had to wait for it long, I would be PISSED! I am engrossed in this story and it stopped on a cliff hanger! Completely unacceptable! I am taking a small break, but I did already download Written in my Own Heart's Blood.

I had to laugh at this as I began reading the Outlander series with the first book shortly after it was released and had to wait for each subsequent one.

It got to a point where I did lose patience and quit reading.

I'm satisfied to keep up to date through others' reviews.

So thank you for that, Amy.
