Summary

What if you thought you murdered your best friend? And if everyone else thought so too? And what if the truth doesn't matter?

Lucy and Savvy were the golden girls of their small Texas town: pretty, smart, and enviable. Lucy married a dream guy with a big ring and an even bigger new home. Savvy was the social butterfly loved by all and, if you believe the rumors, especially popular with the men in town. But after Lucy is found wandering the streets, covered in her best friend Savvy’s blood, everyone thinks she is a murderer.

It’s been years since that horrible night, a night Lucy can’t remember anything about, and she has since moved to LA and started a new life. But now the phenomenally huge hit true crime podcast Listen for the Lie and its too-good looking host, Ben Owens, have decided to investigate Savvy’s murder for the show’s second season. Lucy is forced to return to the place she vowed never to set foot in again to solve her friend’s murder, even if she is the one who did it.

The truth is out there, if we just listen.

Listen for the lie by Amy Tinterra was one of my absolute favorite books!!!! Loved it!! Had me hooked from the very beginning!

I've just finished this. It's a pleasant read but predictable.

Awesome book I listen to it and really appreciate how the podcast cast sounds so realistic. Excellent writing. Blended perfectly.

Just finished “Listen for the Lie” and I loved every minute of it! I hope Tintera comes out with a new book soon with just as many twists and turns as her debut in the Adult Thriller genre!

I really enjoyed the story, especially the Lucy character. Her wickedly sarcastic remarks made me laugh more than some comedic books I've read.

Do men come off very well in the book? Not even close. There are no male role models to be found here.

The author is better known for YA books but I hope she writes more adult (and no, I don't mean erotic or triple XXX types!) level books.

I loved this on audiobook!!! It just went so well together.
