There is an update in Kindle terms of service:
Starting February 26, 2025, the “Download & Transfer via USB” option will no longer be available. You can still send Kindle books to your Wi-Fi enabled devices by selecting the “Deliver or Remove from Device” option.

This is already discussed e.g. here https://www.theverge.com/news/612898/...

If you (like me) want to keep your purchases (e.g. to convert to a preferred format or just in case) - download (and convert) them now.

If you need any help, just ask... I've just finished getting my small collection from Amazon

Thanks for this info. I have been interested to note that everyone should sort their library from oldest purchases to newest because I found quite a few full price books from 2011-2015 that were not on my kindle nor on my computer. Watch out for that . . .

Yes. There are Python programs already for mass downloading if you are willing to install Python first. I advise you to check https://www.mobileread.com/forums/for... for details on downloading, deDRMing and possibly converting to epub

Thanks for this Acorn, I didn't know about Python except for the text to audio thing you were saying something about somewhere.
