Josie and Noah are called to a crime scene at Gretchen’s house. There’s a dead body in the driveway, a young man with no identification who was shot in the back. Gretchen is missing and they can’t locate her service vehicle either. Were you more concerned that something had happened to her or that she’d had something to do with the murder?

I was most concerned that something had happened to her.

Yes, although Gretchen is a new member to the team, I felt the bond being created bt her and Josie in the last book, and just felt that she was in trouble and that it had something to do w. bf she came to Denton.

Not for a hot minute did I think she’d murdered anybody. I was worried for her.

I thought she was innocent but was worried she’d been harmed
