2-3-4 Challenge Book Discussions #2 discussion

Throughout the story, there were transitions back to 1990s Seattle describing scenes of couples being assaulted. Were you able to make any suppositions as to how they might connect to present day? Did did you figure it out before it was revealed?

I thought there was a serial killer working back then. I figured it would connect somehow to the present day. I was very surprised with the way it did connect.

I kept trying to figure out how they may be related to Benji Stone since he was the opening flashback. At first I thought the book would later reveal that he was working the case or something to that.

I cannot recall it clearly now but it was something about the WaWa cup in the present and the mug in the past that connected for me (but the picture of the little boy at the first crime scene was also giving me a fit and I was trying to tie it all in at one point.

I hadn’t a clue and it wasn’t long before I gave up trying. I had to wait for the reveal.

I was confused by this and it stopped the flow of the story for me.
