I'm curious—have you ever attended one? If so, what did you love (or not love) about it?

If you haven’t, is there anything that would make you interested in trying one?

Aniyue Miller | 10 comments To be honest I have never really been interested. I love listening to books, but a good narrator can make or break a book, so I try to read myself when I get the chance. Most authors are amazing writers, but not the best readers.

On the whole, I was amazed. It managed foreign phrases, obscure words (well for a computer - or so I thought) and even managed to emphasize in the correct places (mostly!). It wasn't 100% perfect - yet! However, I would not have believed how good it is already.

I like listening to books being read but only if the reader's voice is not shrieky or dull. The voice on Hide in Time is absolutely great and I think most people would be happy to listen to her all day!
