In the weeks after President Nelson broke things off with Tara, she slept with quite a few men, more like one night stands. What do you think was going on with her? Why did she release the details of her affair with Nelson to the media?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Tara was adrift after the breakup with Bryce. I think that is one reason she fell into the affair with Nelson, but he was wrong for her for so many reasons. She lost the guy she thought was right for her and she lost Nelson. Nothing seemed to really matter anymore.

I never understood why she released the details of her affair with Nelson except to hurt Nelson for not loving her. She had to know that the backlash would land on her too.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I didn't understand what her goal was. It didn't make sense to me.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Tara must have thought Nelson was her baby's father and by making the affair public she could disgrace him and force him to do what? This disclosure could only ruin her business. I just don't see an upside for her.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Force made me angry with this.
Slut shaming Tara (even with the stated criticism of this practice) was utterly unnecessary. It adds nothing to the plot or Tara's characterization as the other woman. Having one additional partner besides Nelson would have done the same job without using this despicable trope.
