At first, I thought I had just missed it, after all I listened to this book with only half attention. Bur Sharon missed it too, so it probably wasn't there to begin with, or at least not very well explained.

As for Tara revealing the affair, again, the impression given is of a woman scorned. He ended the affair and she wanted to get even (perhaps even wanted him back).
Neither of this is stated explicitly but are implied.
