Why did Bryce murder Tara? Was it premeditated or a crime of passion? What do you think should happen to Delany?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I really don't know why Bryce murdered Tara. If I can't have her no one else can either? Delany should be charged as an accessary.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I didn't understand Bryce's motivation. Delany should be charged too.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments These problems with the plot: Tara's motivation for revealing the affair with Nelson and Bryce's motivation for killing Tara are just not explained at all. Big reasons I only rated it 3-Stars.

At first, I thought I had just missed it, after all I listened to this book with only half attention. Bur Sharon missed it too, so it probably wasn't there to begin with, or at least not very well explained.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments My impression of Bryce's motive was that was furious Tara not only had an affair with the president but had a child as well. His fragile ego couldn't take her moving on even though he himself had relationships with at least to other women after their breakup - typical double standard - hypocrite!

As for Tara revealing the affair, again, the impression given is of a woman scorned. He ended the affair and she wanted to get even (perhaps even wanted him back).

Neither of this is stated explicitly but are implied.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Nelson ended the affair nine months before the revel. Why did Tara wait so long? I get the woman scorned, after all Bryce and Nelson both left her. But she has what she always wanted - a child. She had nine months to come to terms with the Nelson affair and she had so much to live for without outing the president and ruining her life and her child's life.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments I agree. It makes no sense, like most of the nonsense in this series.
