Great book and good choice... at least, I liked it.

Here's my review.

I guess I thought there would be more with the family as a whole. It seemed rushed at the end to me. It almost seemed like it was more Joe’s story in the end even though all the reviews mostly mention the Ruthie parts.

Thanks you all for reading this with me. I hope you won't mind if I share your comments with my local book club next month. I really did enjoy the book overall. It was very sad of course and I'm glad that they did find each other in the end. I kind of wish that the "mother" who stole Ruthe would have come to justice before she died. I know that she did suffer from headaches which were probably a result of her guilt and stress. I'm glad at least that Aunt June confessed to her part in it and helped in the end.

The reunion was wonderful, but justice for the perpetrators was lacking. Sometimes the only justice you get is the opportunity to live your best life going forward. That applies to so many things!
