Nick makes the decision not to run for President at the end of Nelson’s term, citing he doesn’t want to spend a year and a half on the road away from his family. Of course, everyone in the administration is disappointed as well as Graham O’Connor, his mentor. What did you think of his decision?

I agree. Though he wasn’t dying to be President, most of his objections circled back to the impact on her.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments He did what was best for him and his family. I'm not sure he ever wanted to be a candidate - he loved being John's Chief of Staff. He didn't really sign up for everything that came after - it just seemed to snowball out of control - Senator, VP and now president.
