Gonzo decides to decline the deal and fight for his career. The U. S. Attorney has declined to press charges. Your thoughts? Should he have been charged?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I have mixed feelings on this. I have no idea what would have happened in reality, but I don't think he would have been able to keep his job, but I just don't know.

As fiction, I'm glad he fought the charges, and they won't pursue it. If his medication of choice was alcohol instead of drugs, there wouldn't have been a problem.

It was that he bought drugs on the street that elevated the situation, not that he took the drugs. I think in real life, the result would be the same. His trauma stemmed from the job and he was owed consideration.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I'm glad Gonzo is fighting for his job. He was dealing with PTSD. I don't think he should be punished for this mistake. I believe he deserves one chance to get back on track.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Putting aside the completely unrealistic situation of the US Attorney declining to prosecute a police officer who admitted to taking drugs while on the job and endangered others in doing so, Gonzo deserves a break.
