Sam and Nick return home from Gonzo’s apartment and he gets a phone call from Tom Hardigan, Nelson’s chief of staff, letting him know that Nelson died. Did you see that coming???

Yeah, I did. We already know that this is going to happen. I couldn't unknow it. I think reading this book right after publication that may have been a big WOW moment. But even then, a lot of things were leading up to it. I though Sam accepting a Secret Service team was a telling event among others.

I first read this before the spinoff was announced. I did not see that coming.

What I didn’t know at the time was Force was trying to get the rights to the series and couldn’t. The deal she struck was to give up Fatal at the time and have the rights to the spinoff and the characters. That’s why she sped up the timeline.

I knew it was coming even before the spinoff was announced. I didn't see Nick moving away from the White House.

Yes, the title of the spin-off gives it away.
