Hi all- 😘📚
I wonder if anyone could help me on this. I have been doing some arc reviews, and I'm ready to add a book that I'm putting into my "current read" shelf- so i can put updates as it go. Knowing that some will see it and add to their wtr shelf. That would help the author.
However I cannot find the book in Goodreads digital library. Or amazon for that matter. The author says she's not added it as it won't be released until may 1. I've explained that nobody can put reviews in without it to link to. Am I correct? Can anyone advise me? Is she the only one who can do this??

1. Adding an Upcoming Book to Goodreads:

Sign In or Create an Account:

Visit Goodreads and sign in. If you don't have an account, click "Sign up" and register.​

Search for Your Book:

Use the search bar at the top to look for your book by title, author, or ISBN.​

Add the Book if It's Not Listed:

If your book doesn't appear in the search results, you can add it manually.​

On the search results page, click on "Add a New Book" (usually on the right side).​

Fill in the book details, including title, author, ISBN (if available), publisher, and publication date.​

Click "Create Book" to add it to the Goodreads database.


2. Claiming the Author Profile:

Navigate to Your Book's Page:

After adding your book, go to its Goodreads page.​

Access the Author Profile:

Click on your name (the author's name) on the book's page to reach the author profile.​

Claim the Author Profile:

Scroll to the bottom of the author profile page.​

Click on "Is this you? Let us know!"​


Fill out the form with your Goodreads account details and submit it.

Wait for Approval:

Goodreads will review your claim and, upon approval, merge your user account with the author profile.

Enhance Your Author Profile:

Once merged, you can edit your author profile to add a biography, photo, and links to your website or social media.​
