Background I have been sick for nearly a week now. I think I'm coming right & I'm starting to get a bit bored. My husband was going into town, so I asked him to pick up the Robby Williams DVD from the library & I gave him the names of a couple of NZ poetry books & asked him to bring one home.

Marty picked up the film, but he said, "You won't believe this, but someone borrowed both of the books you wanted, just before I got there. The librarian thought you might like these instead.

So he came home with Slender Volumes & the The Chthonic Cycle Neither of them are books I would have picked myself (Slender Volumes looks like fragments & I normally don't like that style of poetry & I don't read much non fiction) But I'm game! I'll be reading them round a fiction book I've just started Z: A Novel of Zelda Fitzgerald

Oh that's fun. Hope they're good recommendations :) I read the novel Z about Zelda Fitzgerald many years ago and really enjoyed it. Let us know what you think when you're done.

Thanks. The Fitzgeralds fascinate me & The Great Gatsby is one of my favourite classic novels.
