Most of the story was about the transition to the White House with the cold case being a secondary role. Did that work for you? What about the cliffhanger ending with the twins’ grandparents suing Elijah for custody? Is Roni missing?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments It did, sort of, work for me. Like you said most of the book was about the transition to the White House, but that is typical in these books - the mystery always takes second place to the Sam drama.

The set up for the next book; the custody fight and Roni's situation was intriguing, but not enough to make me want to find out.

The transition being the headliner worked well for me because it was the thing I was most interested in. The cold case was more than just solving the case but adding more dimension to the destructiveness of Stahl. Opening up his old cases is going to be a nightmare. Stay tuned.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Force isn't through making Stahl to boogie man and I'm sure there will be a lot more drama about him to come.

I hope the focus will be on the cases and not him.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Probably the cases he botched. Sam will love digging into those cold cases he closed without doing much work on them.
