SFF Hot from Printers: New Releases discussion

We plan to start late April or early May, but join and post any time

Thank you Acorn, I started this in late April and am about 23% into at this point. I like being back in the world and with these characters, but I haven't been pulled into the story itself yet. I think I'm getting to the good bits now, post all the lead in stuff, so perhaps this will change for me soon.

I plan to get to the book next week, but you know me, I read (listen actually) fast, I'll catch up

I have two books ahead of it but at least neither are giant Tomes (aka not another Tchaikovsky or Sanderson)

I have a copy on my kindle, but I am reading two Schaefers first (https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...) and then Dinner At Deviant's Place. THEN I can start this. I also have two other in this group, but think this should be first

I've started it and already at 1/4. It is good and there is a possible third character for our duo

The intro before the story, which infodumps main characters sounds a bit like a superhero series intro from radio era

Yay, I’m around the 50% mark and loving the character dynamics. The plot was a bit all over the place at the start but things coalesced for me and it’s loads of fun.

What do you think about a new character, Malo? I hope she'll join our couple for future volumes

I finished it this morning. It was very good, I think it'll be my next year Hugo nominee

Finished it, loved it, was a 4⭐️until the end pushed it up to 5⭐️. Will add more once at my computer.

I liked it too, but in another group some readers said it was boring, which surprised me - I loved all parts of it

Still have not started, but I note that some friends in another group were unhappy with it. So I am hoping I like it as much as you guys seem to, but no promises

I purchased it AND my library hold came in! So I’ll be starting as soon as The Tomb of Dragons is finished

Oop I’m over halfway through and forgot to coMe here yet. But maybe I’ll just finish and then read through all and respond

I am sorry that I am so behind. I hope to get to this during June after I read about six other books . . .

No rush at all, just excited to hear your thoughts. I like being reminded of past reads in that way.
