Hi, I am an author about to publish my second book on 1June, available via pre-order 1 May.
I would like to garner advance reviews and I want to confirm my understanding of the process.
1. I understand there are outfits like Booksprout that can handle sn ARC campaign, but it appears that I can also offer my book here—either via ecopy or hardcopy— directly. Is this correct?
2. Reviews: it appears that a book on pre-order is able to be reviewed on GoodReads, but not Amazon—is this correct? If a reader published a review, for example, on Goodreads on 15 May and my book went live on Amazon on 1 June, by what mechanism could that review appear on Amazon? Or is there one? For my current book (currently #1 Bestseller in its category on Amazon!), I noticed the reviews on Amazon and GR do not seem to overlap, not sure if this is by design or just an artifact of the process.
