Play Book Tag discussion

This book has sat impatiently on my shelf for a good long time, saying "read me, read me" and for one damned reason or another, I kept putting it off. Finally, I thought to my, "I think it will be good fun to read this book and go through a magic portal through time."

So, I did it and it was quite fun and magical and I travel through time, not with Pauline and her Perils, but Madeline "Max" Maxwell and her Misfortunes.

Max who is a historian loves working at St. Mary's institute where she can experience history up close and personal. But things are not quite what they seem. With undercurrents of romance and treachery, one can never be quite sure where it will lead.

So glad you finally read of Max and the Misfits! And super happy you enjoyed it!

It's such a fun series. I need to get back to it.

The plot reminds me a lot of Connie Willis: To Say Nothing of the Dog
