Alyssa, Susan wasn't referring to your goal. She is asking you to use your original message number (#5) in your updates. As a reminder, the instructions for how to update read:

As you finish your books, you can edit your original sign-up comment to keep track of your progress. You will also need to post a new comment in the thread notating that you have updated your progress and include the message # of your original sign-up comment. Here's how that could look:
.....Update to message #x: 1/5 completed!

Susan shows your original message number of 5, and your goal of 7 in the participant list, but you have been updating with random numbers -- not your original sign-up number.
#5 - your original sign up post
#26 - post saying you updated #20 (that's my sign up number)
#31 - post saying you updated #24 (that's an update of Rachael's)
#39 - post saying you updated #32 (that's Susan's message asking you to use your original post #5 when you update)

The very first post in this thread contains the challenge description, prompts, and a link that explains how our challenges work:
To join, post a message telling the challenge leader how many books you plan to read. If you are new to our group and/or our group challenges, take a moment to check out the Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly Challenges - Start Here thread for more information on how our challenges are run.

Hope all this info helps, and happy reading! 😊
