BrendaMas Mas | 2 comments Hi everyone

I'm working on a personal project to highlight inspiring women from around the world — through short, one-hour reads written with heart and care.

I’d love to ask this group:
Which women do you think more people should know about?
Maybe they’re overlooked figures from history, lesser-known changemakers, or women whose stories haven’t been told enough — I’d love to hear your suggestions.

This isn’t for promotion — I’m just gathering ideas and trying to make sure I’m including women whose stories deserve more light.

Thank you so much for reading, and for any names you feel like sharing 💜

Warmly,

Brenda Mas

Sadly, women like these gain some fame, and then it just disappears because they are not "canon." They are both incredible musicians. Price was the first Black woman to have her music played by a major American orchestra (Chicago Symphony Orchestra). Ethel Smyth was the first woman to have an opera performed at the Metropolitan Opera (and only one for over 100 years).
