Nick Wroblewski (nick_wroblewski) | 1 comments You know what used to kill my motivation more than anything?
Not heartbreak. Not failure.
Folding socks.

I’m not even joking — the sheer dullness of it used to suck the life out of me. Like, I could be full of ideas, plans, inspiration... and then suddenly I’m holding a damp T-shirt and wondering if the human spirit was ever meant to survive this.

And don’t get me started on ironing shirts. I’d stand there with that dumb spray bottle thinking,
“Wasn’t I meant to do something meaningful with my life?”
But no. I was steaming wrinkles out of polyester.
The little assholes (the socks, not the shirts — though honestly, all of them) were winning.

So I had a bit of a breakdown. Then a weird moment of clarity.
Then I spent a lot of time thinking about how chores screw with our heads - and how maybe they don’t have to.

And somehow... I wrote a book.

If anyone here wants to be an early reviewer, I’d be happy to send you the download link. Just message me — or drop a comment and I’ll follow up.
Totally up to you. Either way, I'll be glad to know I’m not the only one being psychologically outmaneuvered by socks.
