Note: this challenge must be completed in order

6) Similar title font to previous book: Titles come in a variety of fonts. For this prompt, choose a book with a similar title font to your prompt 5 book. It does not have to be an exact font match.

Consider whether your previous read was a serif font, sans-serif, calligraphy, bold, italics, a mix of fonts, lowercase letters, etc. Different editions may have different fonts. As long as at least one edition fits the description, you can read that book in any format or edition.

Sample Challenge: For the previous prompt, I chose Parable of the Sower. My copy has a title with serif font and a mix of capital and lowercase letters. So, for prompt 6, I’ll choose Every Hour Until Then by Gabrielle Meyer – also with a serif font and a mix of capital and lowercase letters.

Laura Z | 46 comments My choice for Prompt #5 was Home of the American Circus which features all caps and a sans serif font, so I've chosen The Last One at the Wedding for Prompt #6.

I definitely can see the similarities there - I would count it!

I wouldn't worry about finding out the "name" or "type" of the font, I personally just scrolled through covers to find one that looked similar enough. No one is going to double check your work or ask for details, if it's close enough for you it's close enough for us.

This Prompt: Along for the Ride by Mimi Grace
I thought their font looks somewhat similar enough

Carol (cquan01) | 588 comments I just took a picture of some covers and asked ChatGTB. The answers I got definitely didn’t look right. I wonder if 2 books in a series might have the same font. Of course, that impacts choices for other books. I think I am going to go with “good enough”.

To me the O's look different. But I am wondering why you are searching out which fonts are similar?

message 13: by Jen (new)

Jen | 88 comments Prompt #5 was The Mystery Guest by Nita Prose which had two different styles of font - The & Guest in gold capital letters & Mystery in white italics.

It was surprisingly difficult to find another title that used different font styles, & almost as hard to find one that used different colours. No idea why.

#6 will be Dead Secret: DS Merry & DI Neal Series, Book 1 by Janice Frost as both words are in different colours.

message 14: by Athena (new)

Athena | 9 comments The series continues since it uses the same font for all the books. Past Due for Murder by Victoria Gilbert. #3 in the Blue Ridge Mysteries series. These are all so fun.

Carol (cquan01) | 588 comments After reading these comments, I decided that I have been way overthinking this prompt. I going to just go with fonts that are close enough.

Michele Olson | 516 comments I decided that another book in the same series would have the same font, so I'm reading Salvation Row by Mark Dawson, number 6 after The Sword of God: John Milton, Book 5.

Barbara (soulflame1) | 158 comments The Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple #1) by Agatha Christie After the Funeral (Hercule Poirot, #33) by Agatha Christie

For prompt 5, I read The Murder at the Vicarage by Agatha Christie

For prompt 6, I read After the Funeral by Agatha Christie.

Not just the author's name is the same font on these, but the title fonts are similar (wasn't the case with most of the Christie books I have in my kindle)

Carol (cquan01) | 588 comments I read The Heart of Winter by Jonathon Evison. I had a hard time with this prompt so I found some options on my shelf and let Chat GPT do a comparison with my previous book, Leaving. According to Chat GPT, “Both titles use serif fonts, and both convey a literary feel.” They are not exactly the same, but I had to go with “close enough” since this prompt was very difficult. So many different fonts! This book was 5 stars so glad I read it.

Kathy Irvin | 23 comments For prompt 5, I read Zombie Apocalypse Running Club by Carrie Mac (6/29/25).
For prompt 6, I read The Seaside Murders by Helena Dixon (6/30/25).
Both books have titles in all capital letters.

My last book was Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Törzs so for this one I read The Unmaking of June Farrow by Adrienne Young, 3 Stars. Both books have a modern serif font and the R's are the same.

Anna (annafrommontana) | 413 comments I lucked out on this prompt. My previous book was Home which is part of a series so I read the next book in the series, Lila, since it would have matching fonts.
