25.1 - Ash's Task: Boss Level
Along with reading, one of my favorite hobbies is playing video games. I mostly play cozy games, but I also love choice based, and RPG (Role playing games that is!). The ones I'm currently obsessed with are Until Dawn, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, and Sims 4.

This is a two book task, choose two different options and read one book for each option.
Required: State the options.
For this task you may use a graphic novel for one of the books.

Option 1-Until Dawn
Until Dawn is a horror choice based game that is set in the mountains, where a handful of people have to survive until dawn.
For this option pick a book off of one of these lists
Wendigo
Time Loops
Trapped or Stranded
Not all of the books on these lists may meet SRC guidelines
Required: State the list and the page

Option 2-Animal Crossing
Animal Crossing is my all time favorite cozy game, I love to sit and listen to my audio books and decorate, explore, and talk with my villagers.
For this option pick one of the 10 villagers I have on my island and read a book with that name in the title, subtitle, or author first or last name.
Poppy, Molly, Pecan, Maple, Vivian, Olive, Erik, Chief, Bonbon, Grizzly
Plurals and possessives allowed, no other variations.

Option 3-Minecraft
One day when my son, Finn, was playing Minecraft he randomly said "A Creeper just blew up my house. Creepers have no respect." And that is, to this day, still one of my favorite things he has ever said. I about died laughing.
For this option read a book with a 4 or more letter word in the title that can be made up of letters in "creepers have no respect".
Letters may be used as many times as they appear.
Required: State the word.

Option 4-Sims 4
I grew up playing The Sims. I've played since Sims 1. It often becomes a hyper-fixation for me, and I will play all day every day for weeks on end, while reading of course.
My mom and I both play on the same account and between the two of us we have played a total of a whopping 5,130 Hours and 15 Minutes of the Sims 4.
For this task read a book where the page number consists of at least two of the numbers 0,1,3, or 5. Numbers may be used as many times as they appear.

Option 5-All the Games
There is so many other video games I absolutely love, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Final Fantasy, World of Warcraft, and more!
For this option read a book that is a tie in or spin off of a video game.
The video game has to be one that actually exists in real life, not a made up one for the book.
Here is a list of video game books in case you need ideas, but you don't have to pick off of this list.
Video Game Tie In Novels
Not all books on this list may meet SRC requirements.
Required: Post the game and if the game is not obvious from the goodreads main page provide reference.

I was wondering about that Susan but I think we will have to wait for a moderator decision. I have chosen a kindle book with only one paperback edition so hopefully it will fit either rule

Yes!

We are currently editing and proofreading the revisions. We will have them posted today or tmrw.

Paula S (paula_s) | 642 comments I also have a question about the page number option - option 4:
the wording says that the page number consists of at least two of 0,1,3,5, and that numbers may be used as many times as they appear. Does this mean that a page number of 156 pages is ok, but a page number of 155 pages is not? or the other way around?

But of these would work since there is a 1 and a 5 in the sequence.

Since there are two 5s and two 1s those numbers would work as 2 of the numbers on their own.

I hope that makes sense for you.

There can be more but there needs to be at least two numbers out of the number sequence used.

Trish (trishhartuk) | 3675 comments So, could I have a quick clarification on Option 5. "For this option read a book that is a tie in or spin off of a video game."

What about books on which a game was based? Such as The Last Wish, which is the first book in The Witcher series, on which The Witcher game was based; or any of the James Bond books, as there have been James Bond video games (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_B...).

In those cases, the books came first - hence they're neither tie-ins nor a spin-offs, but they're definitely linked to video games.

It would be based off a video game, not vice versa, so any books with a game based off of them wouldn't work
