Ann (annrumsey) | 16930 comments Yes good month Dan. Now that Marshall Karp in honed in on my radar I am looking for more. How did you like Snowstorm in August?
I’ll have to look for the John Straley too.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Ann, Snowstorm was a little over the top for me. If you read Straley, start with Cold Storage Alaska.

Carol/Bonadie (bonadie) | 9486 comments A People's History of the Vampire Uprising caught my eye. How did you like it? I have a thing for vampires. Or for reading about them, shall I say. Just saw the movie "Sinners" on demand when my cousin was here (too chicken to see it in the theater) and it was good but a LOT.

Dan in AZ | 2960 comments Carol, this was not what you think. It was more of a political science, social acceptance and scientific look at what vampirism might look like. The story of how it started, whether it was a disease, could it morph into a mainline and acceptable political choice, etc., are wrapped around the first modern case and the CDC scientist who chases them. I liked the book, and it isn’t as dry as my description. Call it reality fiction.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16930 comments Dan: that's unique! adding A People's History of the Vampire Uprising to my tbr - I'm glad Carol asked about it!
