Despite her history of abuse with the man, Maya asks Josie to let her ex-boyfriend Garrett know she’s alive. When Josie notifies him, he has no interest in seeing her. What do you make of both of their actions?

Odd, very odd. At this time, we don't know what really happened to Maya. We do know that Garrett abused her. I couldn't figure out why she wanted to see him again. Garrett's response made perfect sense - this woman nearly ruined his life.

I agree with Anita; it's a strange situation. It is hard to understand the actions of women in abusive relationships. I understood Garrett's response, but I wondered if it was genuine. I wondered if he was going to go after Maya.

As soon as she made this request, I knew she was a victim of domestic violence. It’s a fairly typical response of abused women to have a tough time disconnecting emotionally from their abuser. I knew Maya was going to be a problem.
