Book Haven discussion

I'm almost done with this book and I like it so far. At first, I wasn't sure what to make of it. It seems to rapid-fire one genre and one topic after another, but the stories are coherent and cohesive. It hits on philosophy, religion, a lot of science (or pseudoscience), social commentary, some romance, some adventure, and even a murder mystery. There's some humor which is hit or miss. I'll probably go through it again, it's pretty dense for 300 pages. Anyone else?
