Holly Anne | 2 comments Hello, I am a new writer who has just finished the development editing stage of my 1920s cosy mystery and am looking for beta readers.

I would love some thoughts on the pacing of the book, how you felt about the characters, and what worked and didn't work in the story, and whether you found the mystery compelling.

The book is a 1920s golden age of crime style country house mystery where Cynthia, a bright young thing, gets banished to the country after causing a scandal in London. While preparing for a village fete, she finds herself gathering friends together to solve a murder. I am also teaching people a little history through the murder mystery and do a lot of historical research to develop the story.

The mystery is in British English (but I'm an American who has lived in the uk for 20 years, so I sometimes get my transcontinental grammar muddled).

I would love any thoughts from beta readers!
