Lili | 5 comments Started a few days ago. So far I love the format. Each section is from a different character’s perspective. From the very beginning of the story, you know who you’re going to hear from and in what order, and maybe this is some clever foreshadowing? The overall tone is sad but I think it’s also getting more subtly humorous. Can’t wait to see what happens!

Lili | 5 comments I love how intentionally queer this book is at every level. This is humorous at the surface and gets more beautiful as you dig down. I don’t want to say more. I’m not sure what the deal is here with spoilers….

Monique | 1 comments Finished the book a couple hours ago — the end was so CALLED IN — like really?? After all that?? Okay… rude

Whitney | 244 comments I enjoyed this enough while reading (actually listening), but I was underwhelmed at the end. Seemed a little on the nose in the points it was making. The last chapter reminded me of the movie (view spoiler), which I thought did a better job in its portrayal of the monstrous outsider.

Ruri | 16 comments I'm at 10% and one of the part of "growing a child from something else" reminds me of one of Jagannath's stories. Is it folklore?..
Let's see if I can catch up tomorrow!
I like it so far, even if it's nothing what I expected.
