If you have any suggestions for books we can read as a group, feel free to share them here. I'll add them to the group's bookshelf and they'll be included in future polls when its time to vote again.

Blue Ghost | 116 comments Okay! Here are a few books I've been interested in that may align with some of our interests:

Underland: A Deep Time Journey
(Non-fiction: Nature; 496 pages--it's long)

The Cormorant
(Fiction: Horror; 124 pages--a novella)

The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store
(Historical Fiction; 385 pages)

And a book I suggested before, when the group first started:
Never Let Me Go
(Literary Fiction/Sci-fi; 288 pages)

No need to put them all on the polls, or all at once. I believe Underland and The Cormorant may be harder books to obtain than the latter two.

Thanks for the suggestions 🙂

Stephen Love the suggestions Meg! Underland sounds really fascinating and I just read Never Let Me Go last month. It was a good book, nothing crazy but had some interesting characters, concepts and world building.

I'll think of some suggestions too and post back when I'm on a computer so I can link them properly.

Blue Ghost | 116 comments Thanks for the insight on the Ishiguro book! He's one of my friends' favorite author, so I've been intending to read him. Given you've just read that particular book of his I suggested, I can read it on my own and/or I can find another book of his to suggest somewhere down the line, if you'd be interested in revisiting him!

Stephen I'm definitely interested in reading more of his work. I do actually have another one of his books I've been wanting to read, When We Were Orphans, but if you have suggestions let me know.

Just checking, are we taking Never Let Me Go off the list then? Let me know.

As I was looking through my TBR list, I realized that most of the books are a part of a series. Are series something you would be interested in reading for group reads. Of course we would only do one book at a time.

Aside from that, here are three books. Do any of these seem like something you guys would like to read? Let me know which and I'll add them to our group bookshelf.

Heartbreak Incorporated

The God of the Woods

Spin the Dawn (this one is a part of a duology. Only two books.)

I've been interested in reading The God of the Woods! Nothing like a summer camp horror.

I believe reading ~short~ series could work for group reads, but, obviously, it'd have to be a series that we're all on board for.
