Hello everyone, I’m Paul R. Schmidt, a retired healthcare executive turned Christian fiction author. I’m new to sharing my writing publicly, but after ten years of faithful work, I’ve just finished The Awakening: The River Between Fear and Faith—a spiritually driven YA novel launching July 15.

The story follows Logan Murdock, a teen navigating broken family ties, a toxic stepfather, and a supernatural encounter that changes everything. It’s an adventure about redemption, resilience, and what happens when God steps into the chaos of our lives.

This book was born from a personal moment when I failed to witness to my grandson—an experience that led me straight to 1 Peter 3:15 and the long road of authoring this novel. I truly believe it was God-inspired.

I’m honored to join this group, meet fellow authors and readers of faith, and even learn a few things from those further down the road.
