You are correct, that is my mistake. I have updated the post to reflect that. We are looking forward to your participation this year as well!

I am glad you are so excited by our SRC. The four themed activities are actually separate from the theme reading weeks list you saw on our website. On the back of the paper tracker's you will find more information on those four themed activities. I assure you they will all be very easy to participate in.

Welcome to APL’s Summer Reading Challenge on GoodReads!
How does this work this year?
- Starting the week of June 30th, we will have 8 weeks of Summer Reading Challenge Discussion Posts. Where each week has a different theme and title recommendations and a prompt to answer!
- Everyone is open to post and comment about book titles and make their own recommendations. Let us know your favorite parts of the books you have read.
- Last and certainly not least, having fun and making new book friends along the way!
Summer Reading Challenge is from Friday, June 27th to Saturday, August 23th. We will be posting on Mondays. The GoodReads Reading Challenge this year is a bit different than prior years. We are asking you to read 1000 minutes. That boils down to 16 hours and 40 minutes over the eight weeks. 2 hours and 5 minutes is really just a mere 125 minutes a week, you can do that! Our finishing prize this year is a Tote bag!
At the beginning and once you complete your challenge, we ask that you send the following information to our email, albanyreads@albanypubliclibrary.org.
In the email subject heading, you can type GoodReads SRC 2025
In the body of the email let us know:
- Your first and last name along with your GoodReads username (So we can verify it is you!)
- Library Branch to pick up your prizes
-Optionally your favorite aspect of the summer reading challenge
Do not feel obligated to remember all this information, this post will stay up. We will have reminders every week in the discussion posts as we are reaching the end of the challenge. Plus, we have all Summer! There's plenty of time!
We will see you all here again on June 30th.
