Does 1 person have to find all 4 words ( in dif parts.of book)
Or
Can 1 person find beef & top, and another find sirloin steak ?

One of our ingredients is taco seasoning, so if I read The Three Lives of Cate Kay I could use the letters T from The and A from Cate and C from Cate and O from of, is that right? Then I could find the word seasoning in the book to complete taco seasoning?

Typically we do one book per word. So, for this challenge, it's one book per ingredient. You can definitely use any combination of the following ways to find your ingredient(s).
1. Using object(s) on the cover (if applicable—for example, an orange on the cover would work for orange(s). Any edition works.)
2. Using the letters in title, series title, and/or author's first/middle/last name (in any order). Any edition works.
3. Finding the word(s) in text (please state location and passage). Words do not need to be together in the same sentence either.
4. Using the color of the cover (if applicable—for example, an orange cover would work for orange(s). Any edition works.)
I also love creative loopholes.

Yes, if the full ingredient is within a word, you can use it.
PEPPER in Peppered
LIME in Slime
RED in Credit
and so on and on.

No, one book per ingredient. Two people can't complete the same ingredient - even partially.

since you said that once one person has already read for one ingredient, the rest of the team has to read for the other ingredients
does that mean that in the current list of ingredients, there cannot be repeated members completing ingredients?
example: if i completed ingredient 5, i cannot contribute to completing an ingredient, until the new recipe comes out

No, one person could complete an entire recipe if they have enough books. No limit on how many books or ingredients people can complete for a recipe on a team.

Are we able to switch our books once we post? Or are we locked into our ingredients once we post on the review thread?

Yes, you can use 'Avocado' in text and then use an 's' from the title, series title, or author's name.

yesss!!

I have a question.
I want to form a word out of the text of a cover of a book. The series I've read has one on the top.
An example: Defy Me
Can I for example use the "They want me to forget; I will always rememeber"?
It isnt in the title that's why I'm asking. Thanks:)

Apologies! I thought I responded last night but I guess it didn't go through on my phone. GR has been acting really weird for me lately.
Okay, so here is how this book would work for the ingredient "Fresh Rosemary":
FRESH - Pg. 7, "back are no longer fresh" & ROSEMARY - PG. 156, "Pink roses are growing" + using letters in title and series title
