For the month of August 2025, we will be reading HRs that feature Humor: Books that make you laugh or smile. Includes Witty Banter books.

VOTING IS NOW OPEN!

Please vote using this form to vote: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA...
This requires that you put your Goodreads name.

You can vote for up to three full-length books. Here's how the points work:

> First (or only) choice = 3 points
> Second choice = 2 points
> Third choice = 1 point

To see which books are nominated or if you prefer to vote in-thread, check out the thread https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I have also listed the nominations below.

You can view the current vote tally here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...
Please vote by June 30th!!

At the end of the voting period, the top three vote-getters will be the BOTMs. If we need to break a tie, we will use the number of first place votes, or if that doesn't work, the number of second place votes as a tie-breaker. If we need another tie-breaker, we will discuss in thread and add to rules in future.

Happy voting!!

Oleander | 263 comments Not a lot of voting going on. It's the end of the month and the choices are for humor. I bet you might find something here that can give a laugh or giggle.

I am going to close the voting.

The BOTM for August will be

Penelope - Anya Wilde (equal 1st)
The Country Gentleman - Fiona Hill (equal 1st)
Noble Intentions - Kate MacAlister

It was actually a three-way tie for third place, but I had not voted yet - so as Moderator I made the decision to cast my vote to determine the final BOTM. (the other 3rd place getters were The Rebellious Rake - Wendy Vella, and The Bewitched Viking - Sandra Hill)

I am off to work - but but do the monthly tasks in the next day or two.

Happy reading
