You've been transported to the setting of your current read. Where are you? How would you feel about living there?

I'm in Sarantium, Guy Gavriel Kay's alternate fantasy version of Byzantium. I dunno, it seems like kind of a violent place, though I would like to see the chariot racing!!

I’m in a small town in Alabama (Boy's Life by Robert McCammon). It’s the beginning of the Civil Rights movement, and I was about the same age as the young boy in the story in 1964. I’m not sure I would like to live in Alabama anyway (too hot & humid & no “real” 4 seasons), but especially not during this time period.

LOL! My library loan for that one just came in so that's up next!

Rachel | 93 comments I am also reading when the moon hits your eye. A little disappointed not to have something more exciting but better than some of the options I’ve read recently !

Gary Gillen | 69 comments I’m reading An Autumn War (Long Price Quartet Book #3) by Daniel Abraham. I’m transported to the city of Machi, one of the cities of Khaiem. The andat have protected the cities for centuries and now they’re all gone. I’d be scared and feel rudderless.

Cheryl (cherylllr) | 387 comments Ronia, the Robber's Daughter. It takes place in a 'vaguely medieval' area much like, I imagine, Sweden could have been. And while I don't want to live in the fortress with the robbers, or in town and be affected by their predations, I'd love to live in the forest in the summer time. So lush, green, wild. Of course, I'd have to be 12 not 62!

Natalie | 95 comments The Killing of Worlds so I'm aboard the Lynx spaceship facing the Rix aliens.
Being able to travel by spaceship would be amazing but facing a compound mind alien force would be so frightening!
