Has Wesley played the MMO City of Heroes? Because the Prophus and Genjix remind me of the alien Kheldians who merge with humans, with one faction (Peacebringers) working to better humanity opposed by the Warshades who use humans as pawns.
They aren’t exactly the same since City of Heroes uses the melding of the two in the context of superheroes and supervillains, but I could see if the book were inspired by that aspect of the game.
I'm wondering how Mr. Chu looks back on Lives of Tao since it was his debut. Is it remembered fondly or has he progressed enough as an author that it makes him cringe? Do ideas for edits of past books keep popping into his mind, or can he set that whole world aside to work on his new stuff?
Mr. Chu: you wrote Typhoon, an entertaining tale in the Walking Dead universe, back in 2019. Are there other science fiction, fantasy, and/or horror franchises that you would like to visit and chronicle?
