Wine_about_books11 | 67 comments I'm desperate! I've been under a dry book spell for TWO. LONG. MONTHS. and I'm stuck in a reading slump!
Can someone PLEASE cast a literary lifeline and recommend a fictional book to break this curse? Any genre, any theme - just give me something to get me turning pages again!

Maybe Dan Brown for excitement?
Or, one of my favs, The Shadow of the Wind mystery/almost-thriller.
For fantasy: American Gods, or a very sweet Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman?

J.T. Callahan | 5 comments Hi, not trying to be that person that pitches their book all over the place, but I just published a book that's a very easy read (only 94k words) and is most definitely a page turner; especially if you're into SLEUTHS, FRAUDS and SERIAL KILLERS.

Read the first few pages and you'll see.

Note: Although a few scenes get pretty dark, like the flashbacks from the victims' perspective, there's NO detailed death/gore/r*pe.

Bolt Voltage: Out of Sync — it’s a quick, visual read that blends comic panels, coloring pages, and a sci-fi fable about emotional awakening.

Kristen Brennan | 51 comments If you're looking for a bigger read, I cannot recommend Kushiel's Dart enough.

This is a phenomenal book with world building, well written characters with a lot depth and a beautifully written story. It is the first in a trilogy, but it's well worth it. If not in the mood right now, well worth adding to your TBR for later.

Money Shot Vol 1 is available at a huge discount for just $2 on Kindle.
It’s a graphic novel about a scientist who invents a teleportation device meant to be used to visit, study and explore alien planets. Because of how insanely expensive the device is to use, she comes up with the idea to enlist other like minded scientist along with herself to visit these worlds, film and have sex with aliens and stream it all to earth via a paid subscription service, using the money to fund their research. Shobina Jay | 10 comments I saw you were looking for thriller recommendations. If you enjoy a classic mystery-thriller, you might like The Solomon Archives. It’s in the style of classic Penguin paperbacks, blending historical intrigue, hidden secrets, and a touch of ritual mystery—somewhere between Conan Doyle and Dan Brown. It’s available on Kindle, and there’s a Kindle giveaway this weekend if you want to check it out: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

I also have My Life Story, which is more of a literary novel exploring destiny, redemption, and the paths we take in life. That one’s also available on Kindle here: https://www.goodreads.com/giveaway/sh...

Best,
Shobina

Currently reading Home is Where The Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose
Any book by Freida McFadden
I liked Dairy Dairy O Contrary I believe it's called. I recently read that one. It's a cozy mystery.
Assaulted Caramel by Amanda Flower is another cozy mystery and I am enjoying it. I read Peanut Butter Panic by her and really enjoyed it.
Also have been reading the Mr. Monk books, don't know if you ever saw the show. I just finished the second one and found it very funny.
