Someone I know didn't like that Ashley make all of the decisions on travelling, but I thought she was more of a realist and very selfless regarding Ben's survival odds if he dragged her along as you'll read about below.

This is both a survival story and a love story. Two strangers who met at an airport when flights were delayed and then cancelled, charter a plane together to beat the storm and get out of Salt Lake City. She's engaged and is to be married in two days. The plane has a controlled crash at over 11,000 feet when the pilot suffers a fatal heart attack and dips too low during the start of it. Ashley's leg is broken and Ben Payne won't leave her behind. An orthopedic doctor, he sets her leg and after some days they set out from the shelter of the plane to try and get to shelter with him pulling her on a sledge he devises, accompanied by the pilot's dog. An avid mountani climber, he has some gear with him that he used during time off from a medical conference.

This is a well written book featuring a flawed man with high ethics and morals who misses his wife and twins a great deal even though they've been separated. It's all from his POV. Ashley has a tremendous inner strength and is a former martial arts competitor.

This is gritty and realistic. I'm not sure why it's called Christian since there is virtually none of it, and while it's "clean" fiction, there is honest talk about things in this book.
