Hello All! I just joined Goodreads (after realizing I have free will) and this is my first book club :) I've got too many books that I've bought and didn't read, and too many more I started and never finished. Maybe I have commitment issues, but not when it comes to reading Jane Austen, or Ernest Hemingway... or Shirley Jackson... or Gail Carson Levine or Neil Gaiman or Anthony Doerr or-- Anyways. Any recommendations? I've been stuck in an underground modern classics phase. Anything generally unknown, lyrical prose, short stories, unknown authors, etc. I'm talking "By Grand Central Station I Sat Down And Wept", Dawn Powell, strange little fictions no one else is going to know about. (If you can't tell, I'm open for rants)
