Thanks Ellen
I have added Swallows & Amazons & Thalia.
I think there is probably enough interest in death in the Andamans, but I'll wait a bit to see if people would prefer to read in September or November. :)

I can't get Thalia, so won't plan to read that one.
Really looking forward to Swallows and Amazon.
I see you set Cleary's Sister of the Bride for next week so I need to schedule in the re-read. I hope some others read it, too.

Second Jackie’s idea on Andamans, I read in 2022 for the book pool, according to my review, but it would be fun to reread in the chillier months!
As for the others, I’ll join if I can get the books - yes on Little House and Swallows, no on Sister of the Bride or Thalia, not sure on others. Also, holiday in August (meeting up with my twin for our 60th birthday), so I make no promises ;o) for first half of August!

I am in a bad reading slump, and have been for months. I am reluctant to commit to anything right now...

Oh Barb, me too! It happens every summer but this year seems it started earlier. My GR challenge says I'm 9 books behind schedule.

If Death in the Andamans is set at Christmastime, should we do in December?

Little House probably won't happen till next year. I have to be careful how much I commit to. :)
Edit: Unless someone else wants to lead. I'm happy to set up threads if necessary. :)

It is a re-read for at least somebody, let's go with what they think.

Yes! My copy of the The House of Shade mentions Christmas Eve on the back cover.
I'll go with the 5th of December for the read start.

Books mentioned in this topic
Sister of the Bride (other topics)House of Shade: Death in Zanzibar, Death in Andamans, Death in Kashmir (other topics)
Swallows & Amazons - 5th of August - would this suit everyone?
Death in Kenya. I thought I had committed to this title, but I can't find any record of it & I bought House of Shade: Death in Zanzibar, Death in Andamans, Death in Kashmir which includes Death in the Andamans while I was away. Would anyone like to read Death in the Andamans in Sept or November?
Thalia - Buddy read with Tania in October
Under the Mountain - no interest, could be expensive for non Australasians to get hold of.
Other Suggestions
'Anne' books & Little House on the Prairie - some interest but other than Anne nothing concrete. If interest develops in Anne I'm happy to read the first two then see if I want to continue. I own Little House on the Prairie. Happy to read that but doubt if I will want to carry on with the series. Someone else could lead the further reads though.
Edit- Maybe Anne could be 2026? I have a kindle edition that contains all her books.
