Josie and Trinity had a falling out and Trinity left to go on a retreat to a remote cabin by herself. She hasn’t responded to Josie’s texts or messages in a month. Do you think if Josie hadn’t felt so guilty about what happened that she would have sought her out much earlier or is this really not a very long time for squabbling siblings?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments Trinity said some unkind things to Josie which we later found out were meant to protect Josie. Josie was hurt for sure, and Trinity wasn't returning any calls or texts. Three weeks was about a week to long to wait to try and find her.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I didn't think it was that long. Josie is still learning about Trinity. She doesn't have the experience of siblings growing up together and how long they hold a grudge. I know my siblings will argue and won't have anything to do with each other for a couple of months. It takes time for both sides to cool down and decide that someone needs to take the first step.

I was blessed with a sister who couldn’t hold a grudge for more than a day. Me? I could go for quite some time. Since their relationship is still fledgling, I would have thought Josie would have reached out sooner. But, there was a lot of baggage still in between.

Susan (cruelshoes) | 158 comments The way Josie was brought up and her insecurities I don't think she would have reached out sooner.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Jonetta, My sister, and I usually cool off in a few days. My brothers can stay angry for a month or so about ridiculous things.

Sharon, do they just stay silent or grouse? My cousins wouldn’t say anything…would just freeze the person out until someone intervened.

That's my brothers. They freeze each other out. Usually, a family event will bring them back together, like a family birthday or cookout. We tease them about how silly they are.
