ok so here's who I think WONT die (like most confident they wont to least):

max (if they wanted to kill her, they would have in st4 and gave her a proper death. if they kill her in st5, it would be anticlimactic)

dustin (the actor who played his mom isn't in season 5, and unless they came up w something, I don't think they would kill him w out his mom being there to react, if that makes sense )

will (he's gone through sooo much, it would be so unsatisfying if all of that just ended in his death. ALSO, not concrete proof at all, but if they killed him it would be disappointing bc they would be following the "bury your gays" trope, which is popular in mostly old horror, where they kill the gay person)

hopper (they already had a fake out death for him so like)

el (a lot of people say shes gonna die, and I thought it was plausible until I saw a post on tumblr...they said that from a narrative stance, it doesn't make any sense for el to die. people say that she will and it'll parallel when she "dies" in st1, but you cant end a story where it starts)

steve (I just don't think they will bc he was originally supposed to die before they decided to keep him and give him a character arc.)

I really really hope so I love all of those characters so much 😭

if Steve or Dustin dies, I'm suing Netflix and using the death note on the duffers.

GUYS I JUST WATCHED THE STRANGER THINGS FIRST SHADOW AND IT WAS EPIIIIIIICCCCC. There was a LOT of major things to the plot that I think is gonna be in season 5 so idk how much to talk abt it, BUT THE EFFECTS WERE INSANE. The whole theater turned into the Upside Down and a GIANT mind flayer came out over all of the audience
