The first time I heard Time After Time it was by The Hooters. I did not realize until much later that the song was co-written by Rob Hyman and Cyndi Lauper. Having moved to Pennsylvania when I was a teen, the "good" radio stations (my fav - WMMR) were from Philadelphia about 50 miles away. The Hooters are a Philly band who met Cyndi Lauper in the early 80s when her record company wanted another song for the album she was working on. In fact, The Hooters will celebrate 45 years together in 2025.
