Drew Hanson lied to Nikki and also had his son Miles do the same about the night the girls disappeared. Turns out he was having an affair and was trying to hide the fact he wasn’t home. When this was disclosed, did he drop from your potential suspect list? Despite that, Nikki still got a warrant to search his car and house…was she punishing him (wife was going to find out he was cheating) or the prudent thing to do?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments Nikki was right to follow up on Drew Hanson's car and house. Yes, he lied and it looks like he has an alibi. But people have been known to have great alibis that are eventually broken. If the FBI had found blood or some other evidence in the house or car, they'd be looking at the whole Hanson family.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments She had to get a warrant. If he lied about one thing, he could be lying about something else. Also, his girlfriend could be lying for him.

Jo Ann (jojog) | 104 comments She had to follow up. Like Sharon said, what else was he lying about?

~Melissa~ | 429 comments It was necessary to check out his alibi as well as his car/house. Untrustworthy with the lying.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments If a man lies to his wife, he will lie to the cops. Also, people lie to cover up for those they love all the time.
Nikki had to cover all the bases and search his house and car. She was doing her job.

I agree with all of you. Nikki needed to cover all bases.
