@Robin - good point that her husband's suicide could've pushed her over the edge and tired of John always getting everything.

I had ruled Bobby out and never suspected Mindy. This is a good plot twist and looking back there is some (albeit not much) foreshadowing for it.
Yes, Robert Sr's suicide does seem to have pushed Mindy over the edge, and her attitude toward John also influenced Bobby.
That said, this is not an excuse for either one's behavior. I think that left to his own devices, Bobby would have turned himself in and perhaps even called 911 to save Madison. Mindy is the most culpable. She knew Madison was still alive and killed Janelle.
