Mini challenges are small, flexible activities designed to help you make progress on Rory’s reading list, discover new titles, or just have a little fun with themed prompts. These are totally optional, low-pressure, and open to everyone.
🛠️ How It Works • New mini challenges will be posted as separate threads, usually monthly or seasonally. • Each challenge will have a clear theme, goal, or prompt list — sometimes with a time limit, sometimes ongoing. • Most mini challenges are self-paced — you can start anytime, read at your own speed, and post updates as you go. • You’re welcome to join late, combine books, or adapt challenges to your reading style. This is not Chilton — no one’s grading you.

• Prompt-Based Challenges: Read books that match themed prompts (e.g. “Books Rory Read in High School,” “Coffeehouse Vibes,” etc.) • Time-Based Challenges: Read a certain number of books in a set time (e.g. “3 Rory Books in 3 Weeks”) • List-Based Tracking Challenges: Check off books that match a theme and track your progress throughout the year or season • Fandom Fun: Read books tied to Gilmore Girls trivia, quotes, or character vibes (e.g. “Books Jess Would Recommend,” “Lorelai's Library,” etc.)
💬 How to Participate 1. Find the active mini challenge threads in the Mini Challenges section. 2. Reply with your TBR, finished books, or check-ins as you go — you can post once or update weekly, up to you. 3. Reply to others if you want to chat or cheer them on!
You can always jump into an old challenge if it inspires you — we don’t close them, just mark them inactive over time.
