Hello everyone!

We’re back again with another discussion post, and this week we want to shine the spotlight on YOU.

Our question is simple but powerful: What inspired you to write your book?

Was it a personal experience, or even a single “what if” moment? We’d love to hear about the spark that started it all.

Share your inspiration below and let's celebrate the ideas that brought your words to life!

Misha Safran | 6 comments I decided to write my book, A Teacher's Companion: How to Center Empathy and Emotional Well-Being for Yourself and Your Students, for a couple of reasons: 1. I learned about myself in many ways throughout my teaching career including mistakes I made and wanted to help other educators become more aware of themselves so they can have a strong positive impact, and 2. I wanted to support educators in creating a more Student-Centered Education. In order to commit to a Student-Centered Education model, we (teachers) need to resource ourselves. A Teacher's Companion helps educators do this with supportive coaching questions which inspire a deep dive into who we are and how we react to others. What if all educators took just an extra 10 minutes a day to center themselves? Misha Safran, Joyful Speaker, Author, and Leadership Trainer and Coach.

Paulette C. Jackson | 1 comments Hello everyone, what inspired me to write my books? Well, I’ve been a writer since I was 9 or 10 but it was song lyrics. Music has been and will always be my passion, the arts overall I absolutely adore!

Putting my story into a book form came many years later because a high school friend of mine wrote and released his first book and encouraged me to do the same. So, through much discussion and research, I decided to start writing my first book, it was about my love and passion for music and the arts as a whole and where it comes from.

There was another person who inspired me to write my first book as well, however, they aren’t even aware they inspired me too.

It is a very well known female percussionist, singer and author that I had been a fan of for many years! She having a book signing in my city and also a concert that evening and I had to take advantage of the opportunity to meet one of my favorite artist and sit in to listen what inspired her to write her book, what an experience that was for me!

So, here I am five books later (4 published, one waiting).

My hope is to not only share my stories, my journey but to also inspire and motivate others to follow their dreams of writing too.
